AUG 11 & 23 Adult flying from nest area at sunrise
An adult flew from the nest area and passed over the wetlands of east Miramar at 7:06 AM this morning (AUG 23), which is 9 minutes after sunrise. It was rather distant but its wings resembled those of the male (Pride):
The last time I saw an adult at this location was on August 11th. It followed the same flight pattern towards Sunset Lakes, also at sunrise:
The last reported sighting of the juvenile was on July 18. It is very likely that the adults are spending some or all their nights at or near the nest.
